Concession vendor guidelines
Several quality food and beverage vendors will be needed to meet the needs and satisfy the palates of our many hungry and thirsty festival guests. Coca-Cola is the official soft drink and only Coca-Cola products may be sold at the festival. Vendors must comply and sell only Coca-Cola beverages.
We are seeking a variety of vendors to provide an assortment of reasonably priced offerings for patrons who will be strolling throughout the venue on April 4–5, 2008.
Your vendor cost to be in the festival – 10% of your daily gross profit. There is no contract to sign. We want you to make money and our guests to be refreshed by your delicious offerings.
Your operation must be self-contained, covered and no larger than 20’ x 20’ and open for business both Saturday and Sunday from at least 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Vendors are responsible for supplying all items needed to operate during the festival. Tents must be secured with sandbags or other weighted materials.
Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting sales tax to the State of Florida.
There is plenty of free parking adjacent to the venue; however, you may not park a motor vehicle on the grass.
Vendors must operate with a State of Florida restaurant license and must have a copy of the license available at the site and abide by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation Division of Hotels and Restaurants guidelines. Public food service establishments holding valid licenses that are current from the DBPR may operate under the regulations of such license at temporary food service events of three (3) days or less in duration.
For concession vendors who are not operating under an annual restaurant license a “1 – 3 Day Temporary Events” license may be obtained from the DBPR. Volusia County is in District 4. Inquiries may be made to the Division of Hotels and Restaurants at (800)370-5170 or go online to www.MyFlorida.com/dbpr or www.hospitalityeducation.org.
Food employees may not contact ready-to-eat foods or beverages with their bare hands immediately prior to service and shall use suitable utensils such as deli tissues, spatulas, tongs, single-use gloves or dispensing equipment and practice good hygiene throughout their shift. You must have soap, water and paper towel available for your staff for them to wash their hands.
Coca-Cola is the official soft drink and only Coca-Cola products may be sold at this event. Vendor must comply and agree to sell only Coca-Cola beverages.
Smoking is prohibited in food preparation areas and all personnel shall wear clean outer garments and wear effective hair restraints.
Vendors are not allowed to advertise, sell, demonstrate, distribute or consume alcoholic beverages on site. Vendors are not allowed to sell, advertise, demonstrate, give away or consumer controlled substances of any kind and to do so will result in immediate closure and removal from the festival.
Vendors are not allowed to advertise, sell, demonstrate, distribute weapons/paraphernalia or fireworks of any type at the festival.
The City of Holly Hill Public Safety Director as well as Fire Inspector may inspect any vendor for dangerous or hazardous conditions or materials. They may order any person(s) to remove or remedy such dangerous or hazardous condition or material. Failure to comply with such requests shall result in the removal of the vendor(s) from the event remises and may result in further legal action.
Vendors will be responsible for their own trash and cleanup. Waste products must be disposed of safely and properly and are not to be poured on the ground.
Vendors are not allowed to sell outside of their assigned area and many not roam throughout the festival to solicit business.
Vendors must be removed completely from the festival site no later than 8:00 PM on 04/5/2009.
